Each parish in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis has two primary consultative bodies as outlined in the Code of Canon Law.
The pastor consults the Parish Pastoral Council in planning and forming the parish mission and parish ministries. The Parish Pastoral Council meets 6 times a year.
The pastor consults the Parish Finance Council in budgeting, quarterly financial reports, end of year statements and financial reports to the Archdiocese. The Parish Finance Council meets 4 times a year.
The pastor, Parish Pastoral Council chairperson and the Parish Finance Council chairperson serve as the Parish Corporation. The pastor serves as the chairperson, the Parish Pastoral Council chairperson serves as the secretary, and the Parish Finance Council chairperson serves as the treasurer of the Parish Corporation.
