The Sacrament of First Holy Communion is a happy time when our St. Martin of Tours’ youth prepare and receive Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Watching them come into full communion with the Catholic Church is a joyous occasion. Our priests, deacons, teachers, catechists and staff involved with the sacrament preparation process are enthusiastically dedicated to insuring both parents and students are offered the best opportunity to celebrate the fullness of each Sacrament.
Students traditionally prepare for and receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion during their second-grade year via our Religious Education program. Children who receive the Sacrament of Baptism prior to age 7 and have been engaged in first grade faith formation via a school or parish ministry will follow this path. However, families come to us at all stages in their faith life and we look forward to working with your children to prepare them for those spiritual milestones whenever they join us. If your child is older and just coming into the Catholic faith, call Father Steve 765.342.6379 or email.
If you are visiting our site because your child is approaching second grade and you want to know more on the process for your child to receive First Holy Communion, welcome! We want to continue to assist you in raising your child in the faith and help you prepare them for their journey. You can find all of the information under the Faith Formation Tab.
Adults wishing to learn more about Holy Communion - The Eucharist - should check out Adult Faith Formation on our website. You're never too old to celebrate the joyous moment of your First Holy Communion.
